Michigan Seniors Golf Association |
Welcome to the 89th season of the Michigan Seniors Golf Association. We have another terrific schedule ahead highlighted by four great new venues consistent with our tradition of playing Michigan’s premiere courses.
We begin on May 21st at the venerable Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, host to fifty-one Buick Opens, the first won by Billy Casper in 1958 and the last by Tiger Woods in 2009. Warwick has always been considered one of the most playable courses on the PGA tour and promises to be a fair challenge and a popular choice.
Essex Golf & Country Club in Windsor on July 30th. is a classic Donald Ross design and the second new venue on this year's schedule. Make sure your passport is on order for this one.
Our two-day “Western Swing” (August 26-27) features a Sunday afternoon round and dinner at Egypt Valley and a Monday morning finale at the exclusive Wuskowhan Players Club near Holland. Designed by Michigander Rick Smith, Wuskowhan is one of Michigan’s best kept secrets and one of the most beautiful layouts you’ll see anywhere. Participation in this event will be limited to 72 players, so you’ll want to sign up early. The complete schedule is as follows:
Warwick Hills - May 21
Orchard Lake – June 18
Barton Hills – July 9
Essex – July 30
Egypt Valley – Aug 26
Wuskowhan Players Club – Aug 27
Detroit Golf Club – Sept 17 & 18
We’re looking forward to another great season and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
